Swinging into 3rd Grade!
Welcome!
My name is Joanie Aparicio and I am very excited to be at Lasara ISD this year. If my name sounds familiar you may be thinking of my Mom, Connie Aparicio, the Kindergarten teacher. I've had a great role model and I am lucky to be in the same district as her.
I have two years experience teaching 3rd grade with Mission ISD, and 1 year teaching Kinder in San Benito. I must say I am very excited to be back with 3rd graders and I know it is going to be a fun year.
My personal philosophy is "A day without laughing, is a day wasted." I feel that learning should be a fun experience and I try my best to include music, games, and my personal comedy into all my lessons.
3rd Grade is a big year. This is the first year students will take the TAKS test. We have a lot of work to do but I know that together; students, parents, as well as myself, we can do it! My goal isn't just to get my class to pass, but I want my students to really push themselves to meet there full potential and get that Commended Performance or perfect score!
Please feel free to contact me at japaricio@lasaraisd.net if you have any questions or concerns, or you can call 956-642-3271 to set up a conference between 11:30 and 12:15.
Let's get WILD ABOUT READING 3rd Grade!
