Gear Up Parents,
Welcome back to the 2008-2009 academic year! My name is Raul
Gonzalez and I am the new Gear Up Coordinator/Spanish teacher for
Lasara ISD. If you have not yet met me, I look forward in meeting
you very soon. I hope that you had a great summer with plenty of
rest and are ready to help in the future success of your child’s
education.
Already, there have been great accomplishments from some students
this summer. From summer camps at UTPA to the National Hispanic
Institute Youth Leaders Conference at Sul Ross University in
Apline, Texas, students have maintained a busy schedule to continue
to gain knowledge and skills that will aid in their future
endeavors. However, this is only the beginning of many exciting
events we WILL achieve throughout the next school year.
I am very excited to begin the year and will be working extremely
hard to educate and prepare each and every one of the students in
the program. My goal is to work collectively with administration,
faculty, staff, and parents of Lasara ISD to offer the best
educational experience a child may obtain. Again, I look forward in
meeting you personally and extremely eager to work with each and
every one of your children.
