The Food Bank RGV “Choices” Program will be providing FREE food for Lasara residents on Wednesday, March 25 from 10:00am-11:30am (or while supplies last) at the Field House. 📍 6160 6th St., Lasara, TX ✔ Must be a Lasara resident ✔ 1 distribution per household ✔ Bring proof of address (ID or bill) Let’s spread the word and support our community!

ELAR and Math TSIA 2.0 tutoring and testing dates are scheduled. Remember — attendance at tutoring is required before testing. Be sure to mark your calendars and come prepared!

Public Notice of Intent to Apply Lasara Independent School District (LISD) is providing notice of its intent to apply for the Texas ACE 21st CCLC grant, in accordance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements. Program Overview: • Provides afterschool and summer learning opportunities. • Supports academic enrichment, youth development, and family engagement. • Prioritizes students attending Title I and high-poverty campuses. A copy of the complete application may be requested after Feb. 17, 2026 for public inspection at the Lasara ISD Administration Office during regular business hours. This grant opportunity would support our efforts to provide meaningful enrichment opportunities for our students and families beyond the school day. We remain committed to exploring programs and resources that enhance student learning and engagement.

We had a great turnout for Build-A-Mum Night! Everyone did an incredible job, and we are all ready to wear our mums and garters on Thursday for Homecoming Day and Friday at the Homecoming Game. The school spirit is strong—can’t wait to see them all on display! 🦁 A huge thank you to our parents for coming out and special thanks to our Community Center Director, Nora Garcia, for putting together such a great event. 💙💛

Lasara ISD will provide transportation for all 8th grade students attending the 2026 College & Career Fair. Parents and guardians are more than welcome to attend as well. If you would like to join us, please meet us at Monte Alto ISD to participate in the event alongside your student. We look forward to seeing our families there as we support our students’ future plans!
